Out of all the dogs that passed through APC, these three touched my heart in a way I cannot explain.
In the middle is Amira — our very first rescue.
She was shot in the eyes, emaciated, and lost her sight… yet she kept fighting.
She was the reason the dog shelter began.
@jennanotjana gave her the life she deserved in Arizona: a life of a queen. She was the perfect mother for our baby.
Amira recently battled cancer with everything she had… but this time, it was stronger and she passed away one week ago.
On right side, Arvin.
He left us last year. Blind and battling autoimmune disease.
@bryannamaureen gave him a beautiful life in Canada. Something I will always be grateful for.
And Ada…
My Ada.
The only one who stayed close. The one who had her own presence in my life.
Losing her changed something in me.
One by one, they left.
And nothing feels the same anymore.
I always thought maybe one day I’d travel and see them all again…
I never did.
There are no real words for this kind of sadness.
Just love. And missing them every day.
I hope they are together somewhere… finally at peace.
These three will forever live in my heart.
