Taz, a 3 weeks old kitten, was rescued three days ago after being discovered motionless in the middle of the road.
Taz was diagnosed with severe case of scabies, which had even affected his ears due to the presence of ear mites.
We began bottle feeding him and initiated his scabies treatment. However, his fragile body struggled to cope with the illness, as he was still too young. His condition deteriorated to the point where his fever dropped and his pulse became almost undetectable.
In a desperate rush, we returned to the vet, who administered intravenous fluids and vitamin shots in an effort to stabilize him.
Despite our hopes for a recovery, Taz’s body remained weak, preventing us from bringing him in for a follow-up appointment the next day. Tragically, he peacefully passed away in our arms.
Each time we lose one of our cherished residents, regardless of the duration they spent with us, the pain is indescribable. Yet, we find solace in knowing that Taz didn’t meet his end alone on the cold streets.
May you run freely now, sweet baby Taz.
