We have 2 weeks with him..

2 weeks to know if we get to show him the beautiful life that awaits him or we let him go to a better life.

Meet Belly..

Belly is not fat.
Belly is extremely skinny, in pain and barely able to breath.

When we saw the first video of Belly, we couldn’t but rush and remove him from the street.

We were suspecting cancer.
The good news is that it is not cancer.
The bad news is that it is the wet Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP).

FIP is a heartbreaking disease. It usually strikes young cats and is almost always fatalπŸ’”
We have two types of FIP: dry & wet.
The wet is much harder😞

FIP is transmitted through body fluids (respiratory and oral secretions) and faeces.

Belly has a swollen belly and trouble in breathing.
There is a treatment for FIP BUT it is still under study.

Remdesivir (drug name) is the best current hope, and was found effective during COVID for humans.
Many cats were cured but many died.

We only have 2 weeks to know if the treatment will work.
We already love Belly a lot.
He is so affectionate. He is extremely sweet.

Belly is currently at the hospital.
He will stay for 2 weeks being monitored. The doctors are draining the fluid out of his belly so he can breath easily.

The treatment is for 80 days.
The treatment is expensive and we need your help and your prayers.
