We wish no one ever experiences the pain that we experienced with our senior dog Ada.
Ada has been our resident for the past 2 years after she was dumped with a severe case of yeast infection, body riddled with open wounds and severe anemia…
Ada was used for breeding for over 10 years, according to the vet, she most likely gave birth over 20 times.. and we can’t imagine how heartbroken she was every single time.
For the past 2 years, she has made a huge transformation and became the healthiest 11 years old girl ever. One of her bad habits was eating her toys. so for her safety all toys were hidden and only given under supervision.
Unfortunately on Saturday, someone had visited our terminally ill cancer dog Storm and left toys around Ada. Ada immediately stole the toys and ate them. Soon she started vomiting and something was clearly wrong.
Ada had to undergo a life saving emergency surgery when she started breathing extremely hard and stopped moving. 3 big toys were retrieved and we expected her to be okay the next day.
Luck wasn’t on our side and she wasn’t ok, her breathing was extremely fast, her tongue was on the side of her mouth and it had a brown colour.
After doing an X-ray and echo we found out that Ada’s stomach has 𝐅𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐃‼️
She needed to be opened up again and the chances of her dying on the table was extremely high especially that her pulse was almost 𝐙𝐄𝐑𝐎.
No one was able to understand how she was able to stay alive.
When opened up again, Dr. Roy from @lebaneseveterinaryreferral found more toys inside her stomach.
Ada was extremely tired after the surgery and the risk of her dying from 𝐒𝐄𝐏𝐒𝐈𝐒 was really high. We stayed with her till 12:00 am because it took her 𝐓𝐖𝐎 hours to wake up🥺
We were emotionally completely drained.
We just wanted her to open her eyes…
Thankfully she did 🙏🏻
Total cost for Ada’s two surgeries + emergency is 𝐔𝐒𝐃 𝟏,𝟓𝟕𝟖.
With the amount of cases around us there’s no way we can close the bill.
