Cleo was used as a dog bait in dog fights when he was only 3 months old.
Cleo had 2 of his vertebrae and hip totally smashed.
He had ๐๐๐๐ chance of walking again ๐๐๐ against all odds, Cleo walked again โผ๏ธ
After intensive physiotherapy and hydrotherapy sessions, Cleo was able to stand up, walk 5 to 8 steps and then fall on the floor.
Cleo was checked by the surgeon and it was decided that he needs ๐๐๐ surgeries so he can walk properly like any other dog.
The first surgery will be scheduled at the end of July and the 2nd after two months from the 1st surgery.
The 1st surgery is called ๐๐๐ (๐๐จ๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฏ๐ข๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐จ๐ญ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฒ) for the right leg (left side on Xray), where the pelvic bones are manipulated to alter the orientation of the hip socket in such a way as to improve joint
function and reduce instability, pain, and future degeneration. The cost is $1200.
The 2nd surgery is a ๐๐๐ข (๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐ข๐๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐บ๐) for the left leg (right side on the Xray),
which is a procedure to remove the head and neck of the femur in the leg that connects to the damaged side of the hip. This will give Cleo better range of motion and pain-free
mobility. The cost is $800.
After both surgeries, Cleo will have to go each day for physio and hydro sessions.
He will need extensive sessions and each session costs 50$.
Cleo is ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ whenever he walks. He has trouble holding his balance and his hip sways more than it should.
Not doing the surgery is not an option.
Between both surgeries, physio and hydro sessions, we will need around $4,000.
We do NOT have such amount and we really donโt want to cancel the surgery because Cleo is in pain.
