Sky was a stray cat living in a neighbourhood in the suburbs of Beirut.
He used to be fed by one of the families and Sky used to be a healthy, friendly cat (last photo).
We will never ever know what really happened to Sky but as per this family, he disappeared one time for one week and came back like the 4 photos and videos posted at the beginning.
We took him to the hospital immediately and the vet was shocked from the state this cat was in.
He was shocked he was still alive.
Sky was shot multiple times with pellets in his ears, face and right eye.
He was mutilated many times on many parts of his body and to top it all off someone stepped on his left back leg.
The atrocities that have been committed to Sky are out of this world.
How could anyone inflict such pain!
This story happened a year ago…
Why we never posted about it?
Because we were able to fund his treatment from our own salary and back then, we didn’t have so many rescues as we do currently.
And why are we posting about him now?
Because Sky didn’t recover as we were expecting and he currently needs a surgical resection.
Sky has been under many treatments. We don’t know how his body was handling it.
He is still isolated up until now.
He received several antibiotic treatments.
He received scabies treatment as well.
Sky improved a lot.
His front legs almost healed completely but the back legs never did💔
Sky has been wearing for more than 4 months a cone so he doesn’t lick his legs.
We used to buy Mebo tube every 4 days (15$ the tube) to apply it on his legs and yet nothing helped.
Sky needs a surgical resection to restore the inactive tissue.
He MIGHT also need a surgery to remove the pellet that caused a trauma in his right eye.
We still don’t know how much both surgeries will cost but it will not be less than 350$.
