We have been dealing since April with a flu outbreak at the cat sanctuary.

Unfortunately we couldn’t control it.
We tried to isolate the sick cats as much as we can and disinfect the facility but it was too late.

ALL cats got sick.
Imagine 60 cats all sick!

It was chaotic. We didn’t know where to start.
The flu was a combination of a fever, sneezing and coughing.

We started taking 4 cats at a time EVERYDAY so they can get checked.

Imagine 15 visits to the vet!

Not to mention that some had to go back again for another checkup because they were the most who were hit hard by the flu.

To note to that all our cats are up to date with their vaccinations.

Each cat had an antibiotic injection and a cortisone injection.
The antibiotic injection cost 20$ and the cortisone one LBP 50,000.

Beside transportation that became too expensive, the total unpaid amount is currently 1,200$ + 3,000,000 LBP.

This amount is on account.
We just couldn’t cover it especially that we were dealing at the same time with Fasfous case.

The flu was like a ticking bomb.
We had to react fast!

Thankfully, our cats are getting better.
Some are taking more time than the rest but all of them are recovering.

We will have to take them back for a checkup at a later stage and do an X-ray to make sure their lungs are clean.

We really need your help more than ever.
We are dealing with so many hard cases and the flu came as a slap on the face.

We really need your help 🙏🏻
