We don’t even know where to begin. This has been a horrible month for APC. This year started with life knocking us down and every time we try to get back up another blow hits us… BUT this blow was the hardest… The year started by losing access to our PayPal account and all its funds and savings. We are currently in the process of submitting an appeal to regain access. Meanwhile we cannot withdraw any amount before SIX months. We’ve been operating on minimal funds for months, having to constantly take money from our previous savings for emergencies to close our debt and now THIS‼️ Our savings for emergencies are all gone and we have to build everything back up again. And with PayPal suddenly closed down -although we have submitted all the correct papers, all the money that we were supposed to close the bills with is locked for 6 months. We can’t access them. A dear friend lent us temporary her Paypal account to use for donations. To make matters worse- half of our sanctuary burnt down. We are thankful that our cats and dogs are safe and no harm was caused except a minor one for Abby, however, we are devastated. The shelter that we built for months, the shelter that we dreamed of and the shelter that keeps our special pets safe burnt down today in front of our eyes. The only safe space that they’ve ever known turned to become their horrible nightmare. The smoke, the shattered glasses, they witnessed everything 😭 We can’t describe the pain and DEFEAT we’re feeling right now. It feels like everything is falling down and we don’t know from where to begin. Please open up your hearts and assist APC and our fur babies with rebuilding ourselves.
