Today, we share with you a mix of hopeful and challenging news about Belle, our courageous five-year-old dog.

As many of you know, Belle has endured a lot in her life, including being used for breeding and then heartlessly abandoned and shot multiple times on the streets.

Belle underwent surgery today to remove her mammary tumors.
The good news is that her surgeon successfully removed one and a half of the largest tumors.
The surgery is called mastectomy.

However, during the surgery, it was discovered that Belle’s left ovary had cancer, which was also removed. This is referred to as an oophorectomy.

Her surgeon also found further cancerous tissues in her abdominal and they were removed as well.

Belle had a couple of rotten teeth removed and underwent teeth scaling for the rest during her surgery.

Belle is currently in the hospital. Tomorrow, she will undergo an echocardiogram with a cancer specialist to determine if there is cancer in any other organs of her body.

In about a month, once she has recovered a bit, Belle will need another surgery to remove additional mammary tumors.

What bothers us the most is that Belle will most likely undergo chemotherapyπŸ’”

Belle’s journey is far from over, but we are committed to providing her with the best care and love.

We understand that this is a lot.

We understand that Belle’s treatment and recovery will be costly but we believe in our supporters and their helping hand in Belle’s surgery and treatment.

We were initially raising $730, but given the findings during surgery and her ongoing treatment, Belle’s fundraising goal is now set at no less than $2,000.

Belle needs our love and support now more than ever.

Please helpπŸ™πŸ»

We will keep you updated on her progress and her ongoing fight against cancer.

Thank you for being a part of Belle’s journey
