This Saturday marked a big step forward as we cleaned and disinfected the entrance of The Port of Beirut at Karantina, using an excavator and nine trucks to remove trash.

However, due to rainy weather, we’ve had to postpone further work initially planned for Monday. With rain expected throughout the week, we are rescheduling our efforts for next week.

The work is far from done. Our next step involves filling the existing hole with soil to level it with the surrounding area, followed by adding “tout venant” material to ensure a flat and accessible surface.

Furthermore, we are excited to soon announce a small yet impactful project aimed at improving the environment for our dogs, currently in discussion with the Beirut Governorate.

We’re also coordinating with the Head of the Sanitation Department in the Municipality of Beirut to secure large trash bins, focusing on keeping this specific street clean.

The ground leveling and cleanup project will cost around $2,000, a sum that APC, not the municipality, will fully cover.

The upcoming project, which will be announced soon, is expected to cost no less than $3,000.

While we recognize these are substantial amounts, they are crucial for assisting the dogs in this particular area.

We humbly request your support to help us effect real change in the lives of Karantina’s dogs.

Stay tuned for more updates♥️
