When we took Nala under our care, she was clearly abused and suffering from severe skin infections and parasites.
She had lost all her fur, and her skin was tough and rough.
She was just skin and bones. Nala was taken to the hospital and has now been with us at APC for about two weeks. She is isolated for her safety and getting the care she needs.
Nala is slowly gaining weight, and her appetite is improving. She needs a medicated shampoo bath twice a week, but she’s still very scared.
While she wags her tail when we enter, she doesn’t let us get close yet. We respect her boundaries and her space, and we pray for the day she feels safe with us.
We are looking forward to the moment she lets us pet her and realizes she’ll never be hurt again. We can’t wait to see her smile back on her face. Her sad eyes are killing us💔
