Knefeh is a two-year-old Bichon who was abandoned by his family when the war started in the south. Thankfully, Mashallah Shelter rescued him, and we decided to take him under our care.
Knefeh is a small dog, but he is extremely terrified and confused, not understanding anything of what’s happening around him. The good news is that his blood test results are good—he doesn’t have any parasites. He tested negative for leishmania, anaplasma, ehrlichia and babesia, which is a relief.
He had ticks and fleas, which we are treating.
Knefeh got groomed and neutered.
During the grooming, we found a lump on his side. We also noticed he wasn’t letting us touch his ears, so we had him checked again.
Thankfully, the lump turned to be benign.
But he had severe otitis, a serious ear infection. He needs treatment, but unfortunately, due to the pain, he refuses to let us apply ear drops. He becomes aggressive and doesn’t allow anyone to touch his head or ears. We’ve started him on antibiotics, but due to the severity of the infection, antibiotics alone might not be enough. We may need to perform an endoscopy to clean his ears. We’re waiting for his vet to determine the next steps in treating his severe ear infection.
We need your help to cover these expenses so we can give him the care he deserves. Any support would be greatly appreciated.
