Milou and Knefe were both abandoned in the South after the war started. Their families decided they weren’t worth taking. Both had collars on when they were rescued, and both were in terrible condition. Milou had parvo and scabies, while Knefe had severe ear infections and was in a lot of pain.
Both were admitted to the hospital. Knefe had an otoscopy to remove foxtails from his ears, and Milou continued his treatment for parvo and scabies. Milou has been discharged and is in isolation at APC, where he continues his treatment. He has a check-up this week to see if he’s clear of parvo. Thankfully, both are doing better now.
Knefe is being fostered by a wonderful lady, but sadly, he’s more traumatized than Milou.
He spends most of his time hiding under the bed and gets very scared by even the smallest sounds. We’re heartbroken to see him like this, but we’re hopeful that with time, his foster home will help him feel more relaxed. He’s started to chill a bit, but he’s still struggling with fear.
Milou, on the other hand, seems stronger. He’s happier, though he still gets startled by noises, especially with the bombings nearby. However, he’s less traumatized than Knefe.
Thank you so much for your support. Unfortunately, we still haven’t received donations for Knefe’s surgery, which costs $350.
If you’d like to help, the donation links are in our bio. Every bit makes a difference.
