It has been one week since 30 dogs were stolen from the @portdebeyrouth . Puppies were taken from their mothers while breastfeeding, and pregnant females were either cruelly dumped or possibly killed.
Out of almost 15 missing puppies, we were given only 4. Many others, including siblings of these puppies, remain missing. Despite our search efforts, we couldn’t find any more. We even checked the area at the port where the 4 puppies were found (though we suspect we were misled), but there was no sign of them💔
We saw on Sunday the mother dog that had just one puppy. She had been desperately hiding and protecting him. Heartbreakingly, he was snatched from her in a cold and cruel manner by evil people. We tried to feed her, but she looked deeply sad😭
Tomorrow, we will welcome the mother of Lana and her sibling, who were cared for by @pawscrossedleb . Her puppy had been bitten by another dog and removed from the port before the mass dumping occurred, which likely saved his life. The mother stayed behind as they likely couldn’t catch her. Now, we are bringing them both together and hoping the mother will accept the other puppies and start breastfeeding them again.
To prepare for her arrival, we had to carry out maintenance to create a safe and welcoming space. This includes access to the outdoors so she doesn’t feel confined. The work cost us $650.
In addition, we are still short $375 to cover the initial costs for the 4 puppies. Now, with 7 puppies under our care, including Tayko, Binnie, and the new mother, we are completely overwhelmed.
We desperately need your support. Please help us care for these vulnerable animals🙏🏻
