Hummus is a three-month-old female puppy. She used to live in Karantina with her brother and parents, and we used to feed them regularly.
Yesterday, we received a heartbreaking call — Hummus was hit by a car.
The car was driving too fast and didn’t even stop to check on her.
Hummus is super friendly and loving. She always stayed around people and cars, but sadly, she wasn’t lucky this time. The security team contacted us, and we saw the pictures and video. It was devastating.
With eight puppies already in our care and five rescues at the hospital, we are completely overwhelmed.
We posted about her case and waited for help, but no one stepped in. We couldn’t leave her to suffer, so at 9 p.m. we called the emergency vet, and they opened the clinic for us.
Her condition:
• She lost a lot of blood.
• Her two back legs are broken.
• Her bones are exposed.
• She might need amputation for two toes💔
She will have a full blood test and a 4DX test today to check for parasites like Ehrlichia.
The surgeon will assess her condition and decide the next steps.
Hummus is being stabilized at the hospital, but she will urgently need a foster home once she is discharged.
With 8 puppies already at the shelter, we cannot take her in.
If you can foster Hummus, we will provide everything you need to care for her.
All she needs is a kind heart💔
We also urgently need monetary donations to cover her hospital fees.
Her emergency fee is $75, and we need help to cover this first.
Please help us save Hummus.
