Castana is a war victim we rescued from the south of Lebanon. He was burned alive when an airstrike hit near him. His family abandoned him, leaving him to suffer alone. On top of his severe burns, Castana also tested positive for 𝐋𝐞𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐬, a serious disease caused by a parasite.

Despite everything he went through, Castana fought hard to survive. He became stronger, and his skin has healed well. 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐟𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰, and he is still receiving treatment for Leishmaniasis.

However, we noticed two major issues:

1️⃣ 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬
Castana is in 𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐞𝐚𝐫. We took him to a specialist who checked his ear using an otoscope, but he 𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐚’𝐬 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐫𝐮𝐦. It appears that the eardrum is missing, and 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝. The doctor couldn’t fully assess the damage because of how painful it is for Castana.

The vet recommended a 𝐂𝐓 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐧 to see what’s inside Castana’s ear. We urgently need to figure out if this is a 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, damage from his injuries, or a result of 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞 forming inside the ear.

2️⃣ 𝐀 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐚 𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐮𝐬
Castana also developed a 𝐩𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐩, which keeps growing. The dermatologist confirmed it’s caused by a 𝐏𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐚 𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐮𝐬, which Castana caught due to his 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 from Leishmaniasis and his trauma.

The pimple could continue growing or spread to other parts of his body if not treated. The vet recommended 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐭 and prevent it from coming back.

We need to raise $𝟒𝟎𝟎 𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 to cover both the 𝐂𝐓 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐧 and 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐲. They are scheduled for TOMORROW.
Castana has been through so much, and he deserves a chance to heal completely.

Please help us give him that chance. Every donation counts, and we are so grateful for your support.
