  • Description:Abby was found at 2 months roaming the garbage bins emaciated and very badly hurt. Someone had shot her in the eye, completely crushing it. She could barely lift her head because of the weight of her infected eye and could barely stand up, and ticks and fleas were covering her tiny body, making her even weaker.
We were so scared to lose her, as her blood tests were extremely bad. She was depressed and broken, we felt so sad for her. Although we weren’t sure if she could handle anesthesia, we decided to perform the enucleation surgery because she was at high risk of sepsis and organ failure.
She fortunately survived, started eating on her own a few days later, and finally wagged her tail. She knew she was finally safe. However, our little warrior couldn’t catch a break. She started vomiting and stopped eating; we tested her for parvo, and it sadly came out positive. We were so scared to lose her; she had already been through so much pain for such a tiny young puppy.
Thankfully, and with the amazing care of the hospital she was residing at, she quickly got better and left the premises to be isolated for two weeks in a foster home. She then visited our facility and got to meet Ayka who was so happy to have a new friend!
Thanks to her foster mum, she is extremely happy, all grown up and making new friends every day. She is now healthy, fully vaccinated and available for adoption!
  • Notes:Abby is happily adopted in France. You will not find her at the shelter, we just wanted to share her happy ending with you.
