Information

  • Pet Name:Alaska
  • Type:Cat
  • Sex:Male
  • Age:Adult
  • Size:Small
  • Color(s):Angora White
  • Description:Alaska was found completely exhausted next to a laundry shop where he found refuge after giving up on life. He was extremely dirty and depressed. The shop owner was kind enough to wrap him in a towel to protect him from the cold and rain. He did not move for 3 days, refused food and water, completely drained.
When he first came to APC, we tried introducing him to other cats, but he showed a lot of aggression towards them, probably from being traumatized by stray cats who used to attack him. He was however very affectionate with humans, craving love and attention. It was clear to us that he just needed time to adjust to his new environment in order to accept cats, so we gave him his own room for 3 months before starting to introduce him to each cat individually.
He actually liked the experience and started playing and enjoying other cats’ company. This is when we finally let him join the cat sanctuary, where he is happy and surrounded with friends.
Alaska is healthy, neutered, fully vaccinated and FIV negative.
  • Notes:Alaska is happily adopted in USA. You will not find him at the shelter, we just wanted to share his happy ending with you.
