  • Description:Bailey’s story is a special one. We did not find her, she did! She came to APC and hanged out in the parking, watching cars come and go. We fed her and gave her water. We then decided to spay her the next day if she came back, which she did!
However, we noticed a limp whenever she walked, so we took her to the vet, who gave her an x-ray, showing that her leg, body and head were full of pellets! Her story does not end here, she tested positive for leishmaniasis and ehrlichiosis, two deadly diseases if left untreated, and she also had scabies. And to top it all off, she was bit in the ear by a dog, so she couldn’t straighten it anymore. Due to her condition, she had to be isolated but we were completely full, so we left her in a small room in the parking lot.
The following day, Bailey left and did not come back. We searched everywhere but couldn’t find her! We had to administer her medications, or her life would be at risk! She disappeared for three days, until she decided to make her come-back. Someone took her collar and she was very dirty. We do not know what happened to her, but she never stopped smiling, no matter how abused she was.
After finishing the first phase of her treatment, she was introduced to the rest of the pack. She was so happy to get out of her room and to meet the other dogs. She is very friendly, whether to people or to animals.
Bailey is the sweetest dog ever, she is always ready to play and cuddle, and her happiness fills up the whole room. Whoever adopts this ray of sunshine will be amazed by the love and joy she leaves on her path!
She is healthy, spayed and fully vaccinated.
  • Notes:Bailey is happily adopted in Canada. You will not find her at the shelter, we just wanted to share her happy ending with you.
