Information

  • Pet Name:Belly
  • Type:Cat
  • Sex:Male
  • Age:Adult
  • Size:Small
  • Color(s):Orange
  • Description:Belly got his name because of his huge belly when he was found. However, he was not fat at all, on the contrary, he was extremely skinny, but had a deadly disease called wet FIP which causes a buildup of fluids in his tiny body. The doctors were shocked he was still alive with his condition. The fluids were preventing him from breathing comfortably, so we had to drain them every day to allow him to survive. He was also full of fleas, which added to his discomfort. He is a very sweet cat who did not attack at all when we drained the fluids. He spent two weeks at the hospital to receive his treatment through IV, and continued his injections for an extra 80 days.
We were very anxious to know if he will survive, because the cure is very recent and was discovered during Covid. Belly is our tiny survivor; we are so happy he responded well to his treatment and is now healthy. He is a very sweet and playful cat who loves to head bump everyone and show affection.
Belly is fully vaccinated and neutered, and he is ready to meet his forever family!
