- Description:Rainbow used to live in a home, but she got bit in the arm by another dog, and her owners did not care for her wound. When they saw that she was in pain, they took her to a pet shop where they were told she needed amputation. Rainbow underwent the amputation surgery, which was done poorly, and went back home to her owners. When they saw her with her 3 legs, they were “disgusted” with her appearance and abandoned her in a cage at the pet shop, asking them to find her another home.
On the day Storm, another 3-legged husky, crossed the rainbow bridge, we saw a post trying to sell Rainbow on Facebook. We took her in, she was going absolutely crazy in her cage, and we gave her a new life and a newfound happiness.
She had to undergo a revision surgery for her amputation and she was suffering from a deadly disease which was very contagious to other dogs, so she was also kept in isolation for a while.
Rainbow is now very healthy, happy and playful dog. She was adopted by a family in France who are offering her the best life we could have dreamed of! - Notes:Rainbow is happily adopted in Belgium. You will not find her at the shelter, we just wanted to share her happy ending with you.
