- Description:Spring was found in Mar Mkhayel, bleeding and with a huge belly. We were told she had been pregnant for a long time and she hasn’t yet delivered her kittens. A volunteer rescued her and took her to the vet, where she turned out to have 3 dead and rotten kittens in her belly.
She was in a critical situation so she underwent an emergency surgery to save her life. She had been bleeding for a long time on the streets, so her blood pressure dropped to zero on the operating table, almost dying then and there.
The doctors kept trying to warm her up with gloves filled with hot water and a hair-dryer in order to keep her alive. She stayed in the same critical condition for around 48 hours. It took her around a week and a half on vitamins, injections and antibiotics to recover and to reach a normal temperature and blood pressure.
Spring is finally healthy now, she has joined the cat sanctuary and is enjoying a safe life, away from the cruel streets of Lebanon. She however does not enjoy the company of so many cats at the facility and would rather live in a less crowded home.
She is spayed, fully vaccinated and FIV negative.
