Peach has been with us since she was a kitten. We found her mother and six newborn kittens on the road and took them all in. Peach is now around one year old.

Two weeks ago, we noticed she was limping, so we took her to the vet. We thought it was something minor, like a sprain. An X-ray showed no fracture—maybe just some inflammation. The vet gave her anti-inflammatory medication and asked us to come back in two weeks.

Two days ago, we did a follow-up X-ray, and what we saw was shocking. The toe that seemed inflamed now shows almost no bone left—it looks like it’s dissolving 💔
The vet said this isn’t normal, and during the check-up, he also noticed something wrong in her chest. Another X-ray revealed something suspicious in her lungs.

Peach now urgently needs a CT scan that costs $351. The vet suspects a rare and aggressive condition—possibly a pulmonary adenocarcinoma—that may have started in her lungs and spread to her toe. It could be a genetic mutation, and it might not be treatable😭

We’re terrified. Peach is a happy, healthy cat who eats and plays—and suddenly this. She will definitely need her toe amputated, but first we must do the CT scan as soon as possible.

We’re asking for help—please keep Peach in your thoughts and if you can support her medical care in any way, it means the world.

Indy is a street dog we’ve been feeding in Karantina for the past five months—ever since she was born.
Her mother was hit by a car and, sadly, didn’t make it. Of a litter of seven puppies, only Indy and two siblings survived. The third passed away recently💔

Two weeks ago, we found Indy badly burned, with a broken leg and severely underweight. She can’t walk properly and is constantly being attacked by other dogs.

Thanks to one incredibly generous donor—our backbone in moments of urgent need—who covered the initial amount to help us remove her, and to two other amazing donors who contributed the rest, we were able to get Indy to the hospital. We are hoping the total cost won’t exceed $1,200🙏🏻

Catching Indy wasn’t easy. We tried many times and failed. But there was one moment—just one second—where it was all or nothing… and we finally did it.

Indy is now hospitalized and on IV.
She is extremely shy and terrified💔
She tested positive for Erhlichia.

She also has a gastrointestinal infection and is currently being treated while we wait for the surgeon’s evaluation on the leg surgery.

Thank you so, so much for caring about Indy♥️

Elvina has lived in our shelter for four long years. She came to us as a tiny kitten with her siblings. Their mother was adopted three years ago—but Elvina and her brothers were left behind.
She’s now one of our oldest, most forgotten residents.

Just days ago, Elvina stopped eating and could barely lift her head. At first, we thought it was a dental issue. But test results revealed something far worse:
Elvina has severe anemia caused by FIP—a deadly virus that kills slowly if not treated.

She’s been hospitalized for a week now.
She urgently needs a blood transfusion to survive, and it breaks our hearts to see her lying there, weak, pale, and barely moving.

Her bill has already reached $500, and that’s only for her hospital stay and tests. The actual FIP treatment hasn’t even started yet, and it’s long, expensive, and intense.

We are truly sorry for this late appeal. We’ve been overwhelmed with the distemper outbreak in Karantina. But Elvina can’t wait.

Please, help us save her.
She has fought for a place in this world for four years. Don’t let her life end now, when she needs us most.

We received yet another threat about an “aggress We received yet another threat about an “aggressive” dog in Karantina, time about Biscuit. She was brought here from another area with her eight puppies after a man threatened to kill her there. Sadly, it seems no matter where she goes, people want her gone.

Our volunteers have been caring for her. She’s extremely friendly and trusting. We’ve also been treating her wounds, injuries caused by men who threw rocks at her.

This is what we face every single day in Karantina: countless threats against so-called “aggressive” dogs, just as aggressive as our little Biscuit.

We have the original voice note from the man who threatened to kill her, but we’ve chosen not to share it for now, as his full name is mentioned..

All we ask is for compassion. If you cannot help these dogs, please, at the very least, don’t hurt them 💔
Update on Our Distemper Dogs We have a bit of good Update on Our Distemper Dogs
We have a bit of good news to share. The dogs we vaccinated are doing well. Some are showing green discharge after the vaccination, but they’re still eating and full of energy, which gives us hope.

Unfortunately, we haven’t received enough donations to move more dogs to the hospital or provide them with the proper care they need to fight distemper. As you may know, there’s no cure for distemper—only supportive care to help them stay strong and fight through it.

Pancho, Stella, and Bryanna have been discharged from the hospital. They are now in a paid foster facility where they are kept in isolation. The cost for all three is $600 per month, covering foster fees, gloves, shoe covers, disinfectants, food, water, and everything they need to stay clean and safe.

Salman is still at the hospital and may be released in two days. But unless we receive enough donations to cover his foster care, we will have no choice but to return him to the street. He needs to remain in isolation for three full months. Without the necessary funds, we simply cannot place him in foster care.

The same goes for Muffin—we have no place for him and no means to cover his foster expenses.

Caring for just three dogs is already costing us $600 a month. If we can raise more funds, we’ll be able to place both Salman and Muffin in safe, paid foster homes where they can be properly isolated. Otherwise, we will have to return them to the streets. We’ll still monitor them closely and take them to the hospital if needed, but it’s not the same.

With distemper, even if a dog looks better, he can relapse at any time—even after two months of appearing fine. That’s the heartbreaking reality of this virus.

We truly hope we can raise enough to keep Salman and Muffin safe and cared for over the next three months.
So much is happening—it breaks our hearts to see them like this, to even consider sending them back, and to not know what more we can do.

Please—any amount helps. Even $1 or a simple share of this post can make a real difference.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for being here for them.

Mr. Grey has been on a feeding tube through his nose. Thankfully, after stabilizing him, he has started eating on his own. The feeding tube is still in place, just in case he relapses.

We did an ultrasound for his kidneys, and they look much better thanks to the IV fluids. The infection in his intestine, pancreas, and liver is also improving. However, his intestines are still not fully healed.

His blood biochemistry, especially the albumin/globulin ratio, looks better now—so we are slowly moving away from the idea that he has FIP. However, his hematocrit levels have dropped, which is concerning. He will stay at the hospital under close monitoring.

So far, Mr. Grey is more stable, has a normal temperature, and we are especially happy that he is eating on his own again.

Please keep him in your thoughts. If you can help with his hospital care, we would be truly grateful. We haven’t received the full invoice yet as he’s still hospitalized, but the cost has already reached $355 and continues to increase.

Thank you for caring🙏🏻

Four years ago, Guildy was hit by a car. She was one of the stray cats we used to feed every day. We found her lying on the ground, injured. She had to undergo surgery on her ear and tail.

Guildy was always a shy cat. She never felt truly happy at the shelter—she was quiet, afraid, and always hiding. She didn’t play with the other cats, and we never received any adoption requests for her. Still, she was okay. She had her corner and lived peacefully.

Then she started losing weight. We did blood tests, but nothing showed. That’s when @kitties.in.paris stepped in. They kindly agreed to take her under their wing and find her a forever home.

Before she traveled, we repeated her tests, and this time we found an infection in her kidneys. She needed antibiotics and special renal food. We explained everything, and @kitties.in.paris still said yes. They welcomed her with open arms.

And something magical happened—Guildy changed. She felt love. She was sweet, gentle, and finally happy. She loved being in a real home.

A beautiful family in France adopted her, even knowing she had kidney disease. Sadly, it turned out her kidney condition was not temporary—it was chronic. But her family loved her anyway.

She spent just three weeks with them… and today, she passed away. Her kidneys failed suddenly, and she had trouble breathing. It happened so fast.

Her adopters are heartbroken. In only three weeks, they gave her so much love—and she gave it back.

We are devastated. But at the same time, we are grateful. Guildy finally knew what it meant to be loved, to have a family, and to feel safe. Not all rescue cats get this chance.

We cannot thank @kitties.in.paris enough for making this possible. Even in her final days, Guildy was surrounded by warmth and care.

Guildy, our sweet girl, you broke our hearts. 2025 has been so hard for us at APC. We’ve lost too many. Now you’ve joined them.
We love you forever. Run free, baby🌈

Mr. Grey was doing really well, but recently we noticed he wasn’t eating properly and wasn’t gaining weight. So we took him to the hospital.

He also had a fungal infection on his skin. After tests, the vet diagnosed him with something called triaditis. This is an inflammation that affects three organs at once: the liver, intestines, and pancreas. It is usually caused by bacteria due to a weak immune system.

His blood test showed anemia, but the ultrasound revealed that his kidneys didn’t look normal. The vet suspects it could be the early signs of FIP or chronic kidney disease, but nothing is confirmed yet.

He is now on IV fluids and being monitored. We are watching closely to see if he starts eating again and how his kidneys respond. If his kidneys improve, it may just be a temporary issue. If not, we’ll need to investigate further.

This bacteria, the skin fungus, and now the possible kidney trouble—all of it may be due to his weakened immune system from everything he’s been through💔

Please keep Mr. Grey in your thoughts. He’s a strong boy, but he really needs your support right now🙏🏻

Once again, we want to reassure everyone: distemper is NOT contagious to humans and not to cats—it is only contagious to other dogs.

We’ve now vaccinated 26 dogs against both distemper and rabies, including dogs from unaffected areas to protect them in advance.
Currently, five dogs are hospitalized. In addition to Pancho, Stella, and Bryanna, we’ve also taken in Salman, who started coughing—a worrying early sign of distemper, as it typically begins by attacking the lungs.

We also admitted a mother dog (still unnamed) whose puppy officially died from distemper. He was found lifeless in a hole💔 The mother has a fever and is showing early signs of neurological issues—a small nervous tic. We are extremely concerned for her.

We don’t know how long these dogs will remain at the hospital. And the challenge doesn’t end there: even after recovery, they must be isolated for 3 months to avoid infecting other dogs.

So far, we have raised $3,140 out of our $5,000 goal.
But we know this won’t be enough. We still need to secure fosters who can handle contagious dogs and ensure proper care—this includes protective clothing, gloves, shoe covers, food, disinfectants, and more.

Please, if you can, even $1 makes a difference.
These dogs are fighting for their lives, and we are doing everything we can—but we can’t do it without you.
