Sousou is a stray cat that we’ve been caring for over the past five years through our feeding program.
During this time, we’ve spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated her for any medical issues.
Recently, Sousou went missing for a whole week, causing us great concern.
After a frantic search, we found her hiding in a broken car with a frighteningly open wound on her stomach.
Catching was not an easy task as Sousou was terrified and kept running away. After an hour, we finally managed to get her to the hospital.
To our shock, we discovered a tumor had burst through her stomach.
Sousou has a mammary tumor, which in cats is known to be highly aggressive. Further tests revealed the cancer has also spread to her spleen and liver
Sousou also suffers from severe anemia due to the cancer.
She will urgently need a blood transfusion so we can proceed with her surgery .
Despite the sad prognosis, we believe in Sousou’s strength and are committed to giving her the best chance at life, including the possibility of chemotherapy.
Sousou is not just a stray; she’s one of our beloved cats who deserves a fighting chance.
We anticipate an amount of $1,700 for her surgery, hospitalisation, blood transtusion, biopsies and tests not including future treatments.
We have TWO days to raise the amount so we can proceed with her surgery.
Sousou will need chemotherapy afterward, but we urgently need to do the surgery before the cancer spreads further throughout her body.
