Fasfous is a 5 years old male cat who lives around APC and cherishes his freedom a lot.

Fasfous had the same care as any other cat at APC but he was just not the type to feel enclosed in an area and we respected his wish.

He was on time on his vaccinations, neutered, dewormed and defleaed.

At the beginning of April, Fasfous started to show signs of illness.

Whatever he eats, he vomits immediately.
He had also constant diarrhoea.

Fasfous had to be hospitalised for 2 weeks at animal hospital.
He had a biopsy and several echos and blood tests.

Fasfous was diagnosed with FIP πŸ’”

FIP is a viral disease of cats and can be deadly.
Fasfous case is treatable as the FIP didn’t damage his lungs and liver yet.

He needs to start IMMEDIATELY the treatment but the treatment is VERY expensive.

Fasfous needs to take over 85 days – on a daily basis – Remdesivir injections (last photo).

Remdesivir is out of stock in Lebanon and if we find it, it needs a prescription from a doctor for humans not vet, an ID and the whole medical record of that person – and this is impossible to provide.

We can get those phials from Turkey but each phial costs 55$ and Fasfous needs 17 phials – which makes a total of 935$.

Fasfous can be treated and we really don’t want to give up on him.
He lost a lot of weight and he is on IV for the past three weeks.

We decided to hospitalise him – starting yesterday – at APC as Fasfous was stressing out a lot at the hospital and it doesn’t help his case.

We need you more than ever for this case.

So far, his hospitalisation including echos, biopsy and many blood tests cost us LBP 3,350,000.

We cannot be late with his treatment and we really cannot afford his phials.

Any amount can make a difference.
