Garfieldβs story began at APC, where he found a loving home but was unfortunately returned after a yearπ
The sudden change took a toll on him – he stopped eating, moving, and seemed lost in his sadness, often staring at the wall.
After a thorough blood test, we discovered his kidneys have stopped functioning, with a creatinine level over 6.8π
It was a critical situation.
We switched him to renal food bur refused to eat it.
It was a tough journey – he lost so much weight.
An amazing lady who used to follow Garfieldβs story over instagram started to visit him more often.
When he hit rock bottom and when it seemed like the end was near, this lady whispered in his ear to wait for her during her business trip. And it seemed Garfield understood.
The vet suggested one last attempt with IV.
Against all odds, Garfieldβs story took a turn for the better.
This wonderful lady decided to foster him.
She encouraged him to eat.
She gave him a sense of home.
She embraced Garfield with love, despite the possibility of losing him, putting her own heartache aside.
Miraculously, Garfieldβs creatinine levels dropped, signaling a revival in his failing kidneys.
It was as if love and care were his best medicine π₯Ή
After careful monitoring and continued hydration, his health started to improve.
The lady who stood by him decided to ADOPT Garfield and took him all the way to Mexico! βοΈ
Now, Garfield is a transformed cat. His appetite has increased. He has gained weight, and became an active, playful life.
He is now chasing birds and bathing in the sunπ
Garfield is simply HAPPY.
