Misty is a dove bird, who was cruelly abused by a person who threw stones at her, breaking her wing. Unable to fly, Misty fell to the ground, injured and frightened.

A kind lady found Misty lying helpless on the grass. She gently picked her up and took her to a nearby animal rescue center. The vets there did everything they could to help her heal, but the damage to her wing was too severe. Misty would never fly again.

The kind lady contacted us to see if we could take Misty in, and we accepted. Upon further examination by our vet and after doing X-rays, it revealed that Misty needs an amputation because the wing is severely damaged, and if not amputated, it will become infected. The bones are exposed, making it impossible for Misty to fly againπŸ’”

Misty will soon undergo surgery to amputate her wing. It’s heartbreaking to see a bird unable to use her wings.

Misty has joined our facility, where she is currently living in a small cage to help her get used to her new surroundings. She will eventually join the other pigeons, rabbits, and roosters. Once Misty recovers from her amputation, we will let her out to walk and enjoy her stay with us.

We need to pay $100 to cover her consultation and X-rays. Can you help us with this amount?

Please keep Misty in your thoughts. It’s a sad situation, but we are committed to giving her the best care and a safe, loving home.
