Oat had his surgery.
He was neutered, and after careful examination, the vets decided not to extract his broken tooth.
Once they evaluated it during surgery, they felt removing it could cause more damage than good.
For now, it will not bother him.
They also performed an ear endoscopy – inserting a small tube with a camera deep inside his ears – to make sure no foxtails remained.
Thankfully, none were found. Everything had already been removed during his first visit.
But what we discovered during neutering left us in shock.
His testicles were filled with pellets.
Yes. Pellets.
Imagine the pain this dog endured.
Shot in the face.
Gradually losing his sight.
Pellets lodged inside his body.
Even inside his most sensitive parts.
And he stayed silent.
The cruelty he survived is beyond words
Oat is now recovering. He is safe. But his medical care is far from over.
