- Description:Alex is a five-year-old cat who was found on the streets in a devastating condition—severely dehydrated, emaciated, FIV positive, and in extreme pain due to large, painful ulcers covering his mouth and tongue. Despite having his teeth extracted, his condition continued to worsen. He gradually stopped eating, lost significant weight, and became too weak to groom himself. When he was rescued, he was barely able to keep his mouth closed or eat properly. He is now hospitalized, receiving fluids, medication, nebulizer treatments, and intensive supportive care. There has been some improvement—he has started grooming himself again and is eating slightly better—but his condition remains fragile. He recently developed a high fever again, and there is still a strong suspicion of a broken jaw, which cannot yet be confirmed because he is too weak to undergo sedation. Despite everything he is going through, Alex remains incredibly gentle and affectionate—a sweet soul who continues to seek love and comfort, even in the midst of so much pain.
