- Description:Buttercup, a young kitten around four to five months old, was found near the site of an explosion in South Lebanon. Although she escaped without broken bones, the blast caused significant nerve trauma, leaving her unable to stand or walk properly on her front paws. Her back paws remain unaffected, but the neurological impact has caused weakness and instability in her front legs. Despite her pain and shock, Buttercup continues to be sweet and even purrs when comforted. We recently received the results of her MRI, and to our surprise, they turned out to be good. However, there’s still clearly something wrong. We believe that Buttercup may have been so deeply traumatized and shocked by the nearby explosion that she became numb and temporarily forgot how to use her paws. She will be on medication for one month, and if there’s no improvement, additional tests will be necessary to better understand her condition.
