  • Age:Adult
  • Size:Large
  • Description:Lover is a resilient Pitbull who was once named “Killer” by his previous owners—people who believed Pitbulls were meant to be aggressive. When we found him, he was emaciated, covered in ticks and fleas, and barely able to stand. He was full of worms, in pain, and tested positive for leishmaniasis. We rushed him to the vet, where he needed a blood transfusion to survive. With proper care, Lover slowly recovered. He gained weight, started his treatment, and finally tested negative for leishmaniasis. He later underwent TPLO surgery on his leg, followed by successful physiotherapy. Sadly, the leishmaniasis returned and eventually took his vision. His eyes became painful, and the only solution was to remove them. Despite everything, Lover has remained playful, loving, and strong. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and ready for adoption. Lover is great with dogs (except alpha males), children, and adults—but he is not suitable for homes with cats. Lover is blind, but full of life and love. He’s looking for a forever home that will finally treat him with the kindness he always deserved.
  • Notes:Lover is happily adopted in Germany. You will not find her at the shelter, we just wanted to share her happy ending with you.
