- Description:Milou is a sweet puppy, only 4-5 months old, who was also abandoned when the war started in the south. He had a collar, so we know he lived in a home before being left behind. We took Milou under our care after he was removed off the streets by @mashalashelter . Sadly, Milou has demodex (a type of mange) and his blood test results were very concerning. He likely contracted scabies on the streets. Milou went to the hospital, he received IV fluids to stabilise his health. He tested negative for parasites like leishmania, anaplasma, ehrlichia and babesia but tested positive for PARVO๐ He had little appetite, was vomiting, had diarrhea, and his echo showed that his intestines are severely dilated. He got isolated at the hospital. Thankfully he made it out! He left the hospital, and he is still being treated at APC. We are thankful that he is with us, as he would have suffered alone on the streets. He is just a puppy and doesnโt deserve this sufferingโbetween explosions above his head, abandonment, scabies, and now parvo.
