- Description:Tilda was abandoned in Karantina at the age of 9. When she was thrown onto the streets, she was still wearing a collar, indicating that she had once been someoneโs pet. She was left outside during a week of heavy rain, in an area where stray dogs roam in packs, putting her at serious risk of being attacked. Somehow, she managed to survive on the streets for three weeks. Locals told us that she was constantly being chased and was unable to defend herself. When we found her, Tilda was in poor condition. Her teeth were in terrible shape, and she was bleeding from her vagina. Initially, we assumed she was in heat, which would have delayed her spaying procedure. However, further examination confirmed that the bleeding was due to trauma, most likely caused by attacks from male dogs. A blood test showed no signs of parasites, and an echograph was performed to check for any internal issues. Tilda was bathed, spayed, and had several damaged teeth removed. She is now recovering in a foster home, where she is receiving physiotherapy sessions to improve her mobility and comfort. During her medical evaluation, a large tumor was discovered on her spleen, and her ears were found to be infected, requiring ongoing treatment. Additionally, three tumors were detected, and we are currently waiting for test results to determine the next steps for her treatment. Tilda is still in need of a permanent home where she can be cared for and live the rest of her life in comfort. If you are open to adopting a senior dog, she would greatly benefit from a stable and loving environment.
