Yet someone abandoned him in the freezing snow of North Lebanon where temperatures drop to deadly levels and survival outdoors is almost impossible for such a fragile animal.
When Scooper arrived to us, his body was collapsing.
His beautiful fur had turned into thick, painful mats that trapped dirt, parasites, and infection against his skin. He was so uncomfortable and weak that he could no longer care for himself.
We had no choice but to shave him completely.
His body was covered in ticks and fleas. His ears were filled with painful mites.
Scooper is also severely anemic. His gums are infected, and he urgently needs dental scaling and possibly teeth extraction.
He is also suffering from a severe respiratory infection. He struggles to breathe through heavy congestion and has started doxycycline to fight the illness.
Scooper is also not neutered.
He is around 4 to 5 years old.
Persian cats are among the most fragile breeds. They depend entirely on human care. Abandonment for them is often a death sentence especially in the freezing cold.
Scooper did not deserve this.
Despite everything, Scooper is very gentle. He allows treatment. He still trusts. He is fighting to live.
But he cannot do this alone.

He was abandoned.
But he is not alone anymore.
