Not the news we ever wanted to share but our Sunset has terminal cancer.
What breaks our heart more is that he never had one good day in his life. He has only lived miseries. We tried catching him for 3 months, almost going everyday. He was covered with mange and was constantly itching till he bled. On top of that someone burnt his upper head with cigarettes.
On an extremely rainy day, he basically gave up and went into the trapping cage the moment we set it.
After months under treatment he finally felt better physically but mentally he couldnβt let us come near him and we always gave him his space. Until one day we noticed how bad he was looking and we immediately took him to the vet..
It started with a flu that we thought he caught it like all the rest of his friends but unfortunately it wasnβt ππ
We discovered that at barely a year old, he has an extremely aggressive case of Lymphoma and even with treatment he will not get better.
His cancer is so rare. Only 10 in the world were diagnosed with this type of cancer and Sunset is one of them.
It breaks our heart to say it but at any moment heβs gonna pass and thereβs nothing we can doπ
He was always overlooked or kicked when he was on the streets because who wants to pass by a kitten with mange.
Sunset we loved you. We are really sorry for everything. We tried our best but the cancer was faster than us.
You stopped running away from us when approach you. We were that close to start pet youπ
Life is unfair. We are glad you spent couple of good days at APC.
Sunset is currently under w treatment of cortisone and CBD oil.
He doesnβt seem to react well to the treatment.
We will give the treatment a chance for one week BUT the vets (and even just looking at him) donβt think he will make it till the end of the week.
We are devastatedπ
Sunset has been at the hospital for more than 2 weeks.
We still donβt know how much his stay will cost.
