Blue went to his appointment with the surgeon for a final checkup before scheduling his amputation surgery.
After the consultation, our surgeon decided not to amputate Blue’s limb but instead straighten it.
This surgery is an alternative to the amputation.
The amputation is always on the table but with the new option, Blue’s limb can be saved – though he won’t feel it.
By straightening his limb, Blue will be able to step properly on his hand.
We will definitely not be selfish and decide to amputate his limb if there is a chance to save it.
BUT this surgery is way more expensive than the amputation and needs physiotherapy before and after.
The surgery itself will cost 900$.
Physiotherapy sessions are bought in packages. Each package is for 250$.
Blue might need two packages of 10 sessions each.
We need a total of 1,400$.
