1- π—–π—Ÿπ—˜π—’ underwent his DPO (Double Pelvic Osteotomy) surgery and he was on cage resting for 30 days. He then visited our surgeon and he was VERY happy with how Cleo’s hips have healed, and he was cleared to start physiotherapy and hydrotherapy again!
Our physiotherapist was very sad because Cleo lost a lot of muscles.
After all, it’s been a month since he’s used his legs at all.
Cleo does still have his second surgery – an FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy); where they remove part of the femoral head from his legs. It has not yet been scheduled.
Cleo will now resume therapy 2 times per week at $50/ session.
2- π’πˆπ„πππ€ has finally had her MRI. She will not be operated and her vertebral fracture cannot be fixed. Our physiotherapist believes that Sienna will walk again with intensive therapy sessions. She is going currently 2 times per week at 25$ / session.
3- π’π“πŽπ‘πŒ has started suddenly to limp. X-Ray showed that he has a dislocated ankleπŸ’” We think during the night his leg got stuck in the bed frame. There is no other logical information honestly. Storm needs a surgery BUT since he has terminal cancer, he cannot undergo it. He will be on pain killers for two weeks. Our vet will see him afterward to assess if he needs an external fixation. Thankfully, with the help of the pills, Storm doesn’t feel any pain.
