Milou has left the hospital and is in a foster facility, where he is still being treated for parvo and scabies, in isolation.

Thankfully, he is eating well, his poop is firm, he is no longer vomiting, and his energy level has improved. He is still very shy and scared, but we are so happy he made it through. Despite suffering from parvo, scabies, and being left alone with no food while airstrikes were bombing around him in the south, he survived.

For Ashta and Assal, we still haven’t found foster homes for them. We are bottle-feeding them every three hours, and they are doing much better.
These two kittens have suffered a lot. We think they lost their mother during the explosion. A kind man found them crying for help, likely for their mother, after the building and neighborhood were bombed.
We are amazed they survived.
Unfortunately, the force of the explosion damaged their eyes, and they were at risk of losing their vision completely.

Thankfully, they won’t lose it entirely, though both may need surgery to remove an eye. We also don’t know yet if their vision will be perfect or if they will see blurry. The ophthalmologist will have to confirm that.

Assal is smaller than Ashta, and we are worried she might fade, but so far, she is doing okay. We have to force-feed her, but she eats all her meals from the syringe.

Beau and Silver are recovering from the trauma of being trapped under the rubble of a collapsed building. Thankfully, they both only had minor injuries. Beau is more traumatized than Silver. Both of them have been castrated, but they still need to be vaccinated. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to find foster homes for them yet.

This war has taken so much, and we pray for all the animals who cry and suffer in silence.
