Milou and Knefe were both abandoned in the South after the war started. Their families decided they werenโt worth taking. Both had collars on when they were rescued, and both were in terrible condition. Milou had parvo and scabies, while Knefe had severe ear infections and was in a lot of pain.
Both were admitted to the hospital. Knefe had an otoscopy to remove foxtails from his ears, and Milou continued his treatment for parvo and scabies. Milou has been discharged and is in isolation at APC, where he continues his treatment. He has a check-up this week to see if heโs clear of parvo. Thankfully, both are doing better now.
Knefe is being fostered by a wonderful lady, but sadly, heโs more traumatized than Milou.
He spends most of his time hiding under the bed and gets very scared by even the smallest sounds. Weโre heartbroken to see him like this, but weโre hopeful that with time, his foster home will help him feel more relaxed. Heโs started to chill a bit, but heโs still struggling with fear.
Milou, on the other hand, seems stronger. Heโs happier, though he still gets startled by noises, especially with the bombings nearby. However, heโs less traumatized than Knefe.
Thank you so much for your support. Unfortunately, we still havenโt received donations for Knefeโs surgery, which costs $350.
If youโd like to help, the donation links are in our bio. Every bit makes a difference.
