This is the sad story of most of the dogs in Lebanon.
Yushka – the mother – was dumped or maybe ran away from her breeder while she was pregnant. She delivered 5 beautiful puppies on the street.
People were so disgust and annoyed by them that they threatened to kill them.
Sadly 4 were found dead after a while and one survived – Ayka.
We immediately rescued both the mother and her puppy once we heard about the case.
Yushka is 2 years old and her daughter Ayka is 3 months old.
We took them to the vet and thankfully everything looked good. We ran all tests and everything was negative.
Yushka and Ayka were isolated for 3 weeks.
After this period, we took them for vaccination.
After 2 days, Ayka stopped eating and her activity level decreased.
We took her immediately at night to the emergency.
Ayka tested negative for parvo and had IV.
But Ayka didnβt get better π
It was New Year and everything was closed.
We took her again to the emergency when Ayka started having bloody diarrhoea. On top of that we found wood in her diarrhoea.
Ayka is currently at the hospital.
She is not doing well.
Since clinics are closed today not all required tests were done.
The good thing is that she started her parvo treatment through IV.
When we thought it was an easy rescue that doesnβt require a lot of help, it turned Ayka needs you more than ever.
Tomorrow we will have a clearer picture of her health.
