Alex is still at the hospital.
It has been almost TWO MONTHS since Alex was admitted… imagine spending two months fighting every single day just to eat, breathe, and survive.
After more examinations and a visit to the surgeon, we discovered that Alex’s condition is neurological and his jaw is not fractured.
His mouth is still severely damaged from infection and inflammation.
It was decided to place a feeding tube so Alex can finally stop using his mouth while it heals.
We are also changing his antibiotics and continuing treatment, hoping his body finally starts responding better.
It has been a very long journey for Alex… and sadly, there is still a long road ahead.
His hospitalization alone costs $30 every single night, excluding:
• blood tests
• medications
• scans and examinations
• feeding tube surgery
• ongoing treatments and care
We honestly do not know when Alex will finally be able to leave the hospital.
