What kind of psychopath drives into a neighborhood

What kind of psychopath drives into a neighborhood at 1 AM just to shoot a sleeping dog? 💔

That’s exactly what happened to Paco on Friday night in Karantina.

A man pulled a gun from his car (a 14 9 mm as per a witness) and shot her while she was sleeping. Thankfully, the bullet went through the muscle of her back leg and exited. A few centimeters could have meant the difference between life and death.

Paco survived the night. When we found her on Saturday, she was limping, but still fighting.

Paco was one of the very first dogs we met when we started feeding in Karantina four years ago. She’s around seven now, and has always been the first to welcome us with a wagging tail ❤️ (last video)

We never took her off the streets because the streets were her home. She was happy, healthy and comfortable there. Not every street dog needs to be removed from the life they know. But every dog deserves to be safe.

We rushed her to the emergency, where she was treated. Thankfully, her blood tests were good, she only tested positive for Anaplasma.

But now, after seven years of freedom, Paco is in a shelter. She’s terrified, confused and refusing to eat💔

We’re looking for a kind, patient foster home where this incredibly sweet girl can recover and feel safe again.

We’re doing everything we can to identify who did this and prevent it from happening again. It seems the same guy came a month ago, accompanied by a girl and unleashed their pitbull to fight with one of the dogs there (Escobar, a black dog). The fight lasted for around 30 minutes. The man filmed the fight for Tiktok views!!!! We have treated Escobar for his wounds, but at the time we thought it was just another regular dog fight. If anyone witnessed either incident, recognizes this man, or has any information that could help identify him, please contact us privately.

Sadly, animal cruelty too often goes unpunished in this country. Paco survived, but the next dog might not, and this is our everyday nightmare in Karantina 💔

Because they treated him like a toy. And once they were done with him, they decided the trash bin was the perfect place to dump a 4-month-old DEAF kitten. A deaf kitten who couldn’t even hear the dangers around him.

Maybe they thought, “He’ll find food there.” Maybe that made them feel less guilty.

But Polaris didn’t understand what was happening.
He was completely lost💔

Stray cats attacked him. He couldn’t find food. Being deaf made him even more vulnerable, unable to hear danger approaching. Terrified and helpless, he eventually hid himself in a corner, shaking with a high fever from the stress.

Polaris is now hospitalized, and the vets suspect parvo😞

This little baby is now fighting for his life because someone decided he was disposable.

Remember Honey? Once a house cat, he was abandoned and left to survive alone. We found him near APC with a terrible abscess on his head, caused by a sharp foreign object that had been stuck inside for a long time. We can only imagine how much pain he endured.

But those painful days are finally behind him! ❤️

Thanks to @patounes_sans_frontieres , Honey has found his forever home in France!

Today, he has a loving family, his very own garden, and he couldn’t be happier! 🥹

No more abandonment. No more suffering. No more fighting to survive.

Just love, safety, and the beautiful life he always deserved.
