With the uncertainty surrounding the Karantina area, and the plan to move 1,500 evacuees into the same space where around 70 dogs have been living, we are racing against time to remove the most vulnerable ones first.

Maple and Nikita were just the start.
Two young dogs… only 7 months old.

We chose them because they are gentle, affectionate, and extremely sociable.
The kind of dogs that run toward you, not away.

And that is exactly what makes them the most vulnerable.

Maple and Nikita don’t know fear.
They don’t understand “strangers.”
They believe every human is kind… every hand will pet them.

This kind of innocence can cost them everything.

These two dogs would have been the first to get hurt.

While other dogs stay cautious…
Maple and Nikita go forward to welcome anyone.
