Today, we lost Jessica.
We are devastated.
No matter how many animals we rescue, no matter how many years we have been doing this… it never gets easier when we lose one of our babies.
Jessica fought until the very end.
We still don’t know what caused her sudden collapse. Our priority was to stabilize her first before putting her through more tests. She was simply too fragile. We didn’t want to move her or put her through additional stress while she was fighting for her life.
Despite everyone’s efforts, her little body couldn’t hold on.
The hardest part is that her kittens are still at the shelter… waiting for their mom, not knowing she will never come back💔
