‼️Jasper urgently needs another MRI‼️
This Tuesday at 7 PM, Jasper is scheduled for another MRI to finally see where we stand after his brain surgery.
The MRI will cost $460.
Please… this appointment CANNOT be canceled or postponed. Anything else can wait, but not this. Jasper is a very special case, and we really need to know what is happening inside his brain and whether there is any improvement after the surgery.
Since the operation, Jasper is still taking Gabapentin every day to help soothe his nerves. And honestly… he has definitely improved.
His senses have grown stronger. He is more aware of his surroundings. Even though Jasper is fully blind, he understands much more now. His crises became very rare compared to before. Sometimes he still has episodes where he screams or hurts himself, but they happen much less now. We sometimes feel it happens like a little baby becoming frustrated because he cannot express what he wants.
Because of his condition, Jasper cannot live in the shelter environment. He needs calmness, stability, and quiet surroundings. He gets along with other cats, but only calm ones. Sadly, because of how special his case is, we know fostering or adoption may be very difficult unless a miracle happens.
But Jasper is such a sweet young cat, and we are trying our absolute best to give him something close to a normal life, whatever “normal” means for him.
This MRI is extremely important. We are hoping to finally see if the pressure in his brain is improving and if his brain is slowly growing and adapting with time.
