Kina was finally discharged from the hospital after almost one full monthโฆ since April 8 ๐
After everything she went through โ the burns, the pain, the surgeries, the blood transfusion, the amputation โ seeing her finally leave the hospital feels unreal.
And as if all of this was not enough, we also discovered that Kina was pregnantโฆ and the babies were still alive. Because her hematocrit was dangerously low and her condition was critical, we unfortunately could not keep the babies. The surgery was extremely risky, but Kina made it through ๐ค
Her road to recovery is still very long. She still needs a new surgery to fix her previous amputation, her skin still needs time to heal and grow again, and we still have a long journey ahead of us. But God knows how strong Kina is.
And honestlyโฆ she hates us but we love it and we love her so muchโฅ๏ธ
She still has that attitude, that fire, that need to protect herself even after everything she survived. And we love that about her. We love that she still fights back. We love that she did not give up.
Leaving the hospital does not mean the expenses are over. We still have not received the final bill, and we already know it will be huge. Once we receive it, we will share it with you.
