Kina’s hematocrit has been dropping and not improving. We ran every test, ruled out almost everything… except one thing we never expected.
Today, during an echo, Kina was found to be PREGNANT.
We are in shock.
After everything she has been through:
– A building collapsing on her,
– Losing her arm,
– Wrong amputation,
– Loss of a lot of blood,
– Severe infections,
– Chemical burns,
– Multiple surgeries to remove dead skin…
She survived all of that. And somehow, her babies are still alive inside her.
BUT her body cannot handle this.
If the pregnancy continues, it will cost her life. Her hematocrit is already dangerously low. She does not have the strength to carry or deliver kittens.
We have no choice but to intervene urgently to save her.
She needs surgery to remove the babies so we can focus on stabilizing her… BUT we cannot operate because her hematocrit is too low.

* Over 5 kg
Bring them to @beirutpethospital and ask about Kina.
We have 150 cats, but we cannot use any of them. There is an outbreak in the shelter and so many are already sick or hospitalized.
