We didn’t expect this.
Halo suddenly stopped eating. He became quiet… no more play, no more energy. Something wasn’t right.
We rushed him to the hospital.
The diagnosis broke us: wet FIP.
For those who have been following Halo’s story, you know how much he has already endured. A war victim rescued from the South. Recently blinded. FIV positive, which already makes his immunity fragile.
Halo never had the chance to recover.
The stress, the fear, the constant bombings… his body couldn’t take it anymore. His immunity dropped, and FIP took over.
He is now hospitalized.
Doctors are removing the fluid from his abdomen and doing everything they can to stabilize him.
FIP treatment is long.
FIP treatment is expensive.
And we are already overwhelmed.
Our last post raised only $105 — and we are truly grateful. But this doesn’t even cover initial tests, let alone hospitalization and the treatment ahead.
We are in a war.
And they are the ones paying the price.
