We saw a post on @mashalashelter about another war victim from the 160 missiles that struck Lebanon.
Houssein didn’t think twice before removing him from the street… and we didn’t think twice before taking him under our care.
Today, he arrived to us.
We named him Hero.
Hero has a severe shoulder injury, infected burns from the explosion, and his eyes were impacted by shrapnel. Thankfully, he is not blind… but he is extremely dehydrated, which made his eyes appear sunken.
His condition is heartbreaking. He is severely anemic, and his wounds are infected. His teeth have already been extracted, and his canines still need to be removed as they are completely damaged.
We cannot imagine what he went through… the pain, the fear, the moment his skin was burning, and how much he must have cried alone.
And yet…
What’s even more touching is that he only wants to cuddle.
How can they be so forgiving? So loving?
He almost lost his life because of humans… and still chooses love.
Hero needs your help.
Please lend us a helping hand so we can continue saving war victims like him. We need you now more than ever.
