We wish we had better news. Despite weeks of trea

We wish we had better news.

Despite weeks of treatment, changing antibiotics twice, and seeing the specialist, Alex hasn’t shown any improvement.

His feeding tube has now been removed, but unfortunately, his mouth is still severely affected.

Alex is suffering from neuritis, most likely caused by a traumatic injury to his face. This means one of the nerves controlling his mouth has been injured by a hit on his face😞

Because of this, Alex cannot keep his tongue inside his mouth and drools constantly.

What worries us even more is that the painful ulcers inside his mouth still haven’t healed. We’ve taken another culture and sent it to the laboratory so we can identify the best antibiotic to finally help treat the infection.

The constant drooling keeps the skin around his mouth wet all day. Since Alex cannot groom himself properly, his skin has become irritated, inflamed, and discolored, making him even more uncomfortable.

We are doing everything we can to keep him clean, comfortable, and loved.

We are not giving up on him.

But this has become one of the most challenging cases we’ve ever cared for.

Alex needs weekly veterinary visits, special food, medications, and ongoing supportive care, and the costs continue to rise.

If anyone has experience caring for a cat with facial neuritis or a similar nerve injury, we would appreciate any advice.

When the war escalated and more than 160 missiles

When the war escalated and more than 160 missiles rained down across Lebanon in just 10 minutes, Hero became one of the countless innocent victims.

He arrived from South Lebanon with severe burns covering his body. His eyes were so badly injured that we believed he would lose his sight. As if that wasn’t enough, X-rays revealed that his body was filled with pellets from being shot multiple times.

Hero spent nearly a month in the hospital and even needed a blood transfusion. We made countless trips to the ophthalmologist, treating his eyes. Thankfully, after weeks of treatment, Hero’s eyes have improved. They are not fully healed, but he can see again.

Just when we thought the worst was finally behind him…

Hero suddenly stopped eating and began vomiting. We rushed him back to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with pancreatitis.

He is now hospitalized once again and will need to stay on IV fluids and medication for at least a week.

As if he hasn’t suffered enough, the pellets still lodged inside his body are slowly working their way out through his skin. While we’re relieved that his body is rejecting them naturally, each pellet tears through his skin is causing him even more pain.

We honestly don’t know how much more this little fighter can endure.

Please help us. His hospitalization and ongoing treatment are costly, and we simply cannot do this without your support.

We have both good and sad news about Fredo.

Thanks to your help, we were able to raise enough funds for his dental surgery. As his condition worsened, we couldn’t wait any longer. Fredo was losing weight because he could barely eat, and the pain in his mouth had become unbearable. During surgery, all of his teeth had to be removed due to severe inflammation.

He is now recovering from his dental procedure, and we’re very grateful to everyone who made that possible.

But our biggest challenge remains.

Unfortunately, we were not able to raise the $700 needed for Fredo’s leg surgery. Without it, we cannot repair his torn ligaments with artificial ligaments. His knee is unstable, and he still struggles to walk.

Help us raise $700 so Fredo can finally receive the surgery that will allow him to walk without pain🙏🏻

This is the update we’ve been dreaming of sharing.

After surviving being trapped under the rubble, severe chemical burns, infections, multiple surgeries, a blood transfusion, and countless days in the hospital…

Kina is finally surgery-free.
Kina is finally hospital-free.

Her final surgery was a success. Her amputation has been corrected, and we also removed multiple teeth that had been broken during the bombing.

She still has a long emotional journey ahead. Learning to trust again will take time. But physically, she is getting stronger every single day.

She is such a fighter. She is a Southern girl… how could she not be? ❤️

None of this would have been possible without you.
